SCIENCE: WHAT IS IT MADE OF? 1ST GRADE

Metal, plastic, wood, glass... are some of the materials we use to make the things that we use everyday.

Let´s explore what different objects we use everyday are made from.

For example: Knives and forks are made from metal. Chairs are made from wood. Shoes are made from leather

Each material can be used to make a lot of different things: wood can be used to make tables, chairs, pencils, doors, and many things.

A chair can be made from different materials used together, for example metal and wood or plastic.
Different materials have different properties, which make them suitable for different uses.

Is the material hard or soft, dull or shiny, smooth or rough?

Let's learn a song we performed to the little ones!

BOXABULARY

Hello everybody!

And welcome to our Primary 2 English class! I don’t know if you remember the box your kids had to bring to school a few months ago… Now, we are proud to present THE ULTIMATE ENGLISH BOX: BOXABULARY!

In the box, we keep a lot of DIY (do it yourself) flashcards we have been creating during the academic year. We’ve got plenty of them and you children enjoy the process of doing it as much as I do. Also, they get to play in pair or in small groups after one unit is finished.

In each card, the following info is included:

- A beautiful drawing
- the Phonetic transcription
- the use of the word in an example sentence

OUR BOX IS OUR TREASURE! AND WE HOPE YOU LIKE IT!
